Some Whine with my Tea

This is my second cold/sinus infection whatever of the season. Blah. Yuck. Eh. I'm in my pink bathrobe and pajamas next to a pile of used tissue and cup of echinacea elderberry tea. All I need is some big, fluffy slippers. What's your favorite cold remedies?

I want to move to someplace warm and reserve the beautiful, snow laden trees to a vacation experience.

(Do people in the South get sick less?)

  1. One of my favorite things to do when I was sick was to curl up in warm jammies, with a cup of hot chocolate and watch the fire in my fireplace (I don't have a fireplace anymore) but the heat from the drink and the fire really made me relax.

  2. That sounds so good. I've been on the couch most of the day with a cat curled up on my lap.

  3. I'm smack in the middle of the US, and no...we don't get sick less. In fact most kids I know spend the winter with the Missouri Crud (coughing, snotting, etc). Feel better. :)

  4. Our vulnerability to the common cold/respiratory infection seems to be the same here in Virginia, with it's colder, dryer climate, as it was when we were in New Orleans. So, unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be something you can mitigate by moving and living somewhere else.
